Bhatura

Bhatura




Ingredients : 

  1. Maida -1/2kg
  2. Potato - 2 small
  3. Curd  -1/2cup
  4. Milk - 1/4 cup
  5. Sugar - 1/2 tspn
  6. Soda powder - 3/4 tspn
  7. Salt


Method : 


  • Mix all the ingredients and make a soft dough
  • keep it covered with a wet muslin cloth for 2-3 hrs

  • Make lemon size balls out of the dough and roll it into medium thick round shaped rotis.
  • Heat oil in medium flame for deep frying,slide the flattened dough into the hot oil press it down when it rises again press the edges until it puffs up completely
  • Flip it over and fry the otherside until it turns to light golden color
  • Serve hot with Channa masala

Note :

  • Bhatura will be thicker than poori.
  • You can replace baking powder with yeast
